It was the year. Organised and run by students for student-led groups, it turned out to be an explosive evening of Rock Bands, vocalists and dance groups all taking to the stage to showcase their skills. I am so delighted that education and development here now is so different, so inclusive — every young man finds a niche and is recognised for that contribution.
As part of this project we joined the French students in visiting the War Memorial and Te Papa where we learnt about how the war affected people from different professions and backgrounds. In early Decemberour Y10 students completed three to four days of outdoor pursuits in various locations in the lower North and upper South Islands.
Overall the experience in Florida was a very good one.
